In addition to being an amazing song, the music video for “Careless Whisper” by Wham! incorporates an immense amount of items and activities that I’m involved in or interested in: boom boxes, the marina, coiffed hair, seaplanes, acoustic guitaros, sports cars, sexy time, architecture, couture, sailboats, the big city, and incurable longing.
Hearing the tune makes me bummed on most of the music I am forced to play on a nightly basis. It also makes me wish my pierced ears hadn’t closed up by 1994.
